At 31st State, it’s more than personal care, it’s a state of mind. It’s the confidence to show up as yourself — effortless, cool and rooted in care—for your skin, your self, and the planet.
When our founder Stephanie’s teenage boys started struggling with their skin, she saw the toll it took on their confidence. So, she did what any mom would do: she went searching for a solution.
Much to her surprise, the shelves were full of skincare, but most formulas were packed with unnecessary chemicals or designed with only girls in mind. That’s when Stephanie decided to take matters into her own hands.
Channeling her California roots, Stephanie set out to create something different: a brand built for boys that was easy, effective and natural. She teamed up with leading chemists and after three years of research and development, she launched 31st State: a first-of-its-kind collection of skin, body and hair care products that are free from known toxins, simple to use and smell like the cool, clean Pacific air.
