Refund policy
We want you to love what you ordered. If something isn't right, here's how returns and refunds work. The rules differ slightly depending on where your order was delivered, so please check the section that applies to you (USA, UK, or EU).
All Regions
- You have 14 days from delivery to start a return.
- For health and hygiene reasons, products sealed for hygiene purposes cannot be returned once unsealed, unless they are faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered.
- Please keep your order number handy — it's your proof of purchase.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method.
- If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we'll make it right — replacement or full refund, and we cover the return postage.
USA Customers
- We accept returns of unopened, sealed products in their original packaging within 14 days of delivery.
- To start a return, email help@31st-state.com with your order number and reason for return. We'll send you return instructions.
- Return shipping for non-faulty returns is your responsibility. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- If your product arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery (photos help!) and we'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
- Refunds are issued once we've received and inspected the returned item(s).
UK Customers
If your order was delivered to a UK address, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply.
- You may cancel your order within 14 days of receipt for any reason. To cancel, email help@31st-state.com with your order number, or use the returns option on our website.
- Once you cancel, please return the items within 14 days. Return postage for non-faulty returns is your responsibility.
- You'll receive a full refund — including standard outbound delivery — within 14 days of us receiving the items back or you providing proof of postage.
- Products sealed for hygiene reasons cannot be returned once unsealed, unless faulty.
- Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (for faulty, damaged, or misdescribed items) are not affected.
EU Customers — Your Right of Withdrawal
If your order was delivered to an address in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery, without giving any reason.
- How to withdraw: use the “Exercise Right of Withdrawal” link that is found in the footer of the website or use the following link to navigate directly to your account: EXERCISE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL.No account is needed — just look up your order with your order number and email address, confirm your withdrawal in two steps, and you'll receive an automatic email acknowledgement with the date and time of your request.
- You may also notify us by email at help@31st-state.com, but the online withdrawal function is the quickest route.
- Sending items back: once you've submitted your withdrawal, please ship the items back to us within 14 days. Return postage for non-faulty returns is your responsibility.
- Your refund: you'll receive a full refund — including the product price, standard outbound shipping, and any duties or taxes collected at checkout — within 14 days of your withdrawal request. We may hold the refund until we've received the items back or you've provided proof of shipment, whichever comes first.
- The hygiene exemption above applies: the right of withdrawal is lost for hygiene-sealed products that have been unsealed after delivery.
- None of this affects your statutory rights under the EU legal guarantee for faulty goods.
