Founded by the incredibly dynamic entrepreneur Sahar Hashemi, Buy Women Built is on a mission to close the £200bn (est. $268 bn USD) gender entrepreneurial gap by encouraging consumers to vote with their wallets and support female-founded businesses. Sahar is best known for co-founding Coffee Republic in the UK and is now harnessing her business expertise to shine a light on women-led brands across the UK.
At its heart, Buy Women Built is more than just a consumer campaign. It’s a vibrant community of bold, driven founders who are creating innovative products, challenging the status quo, and supporting each other through shared knowledge, experiences, and connection.
As a brand founded by a mom and built by an all-female team, this mission couldn’t be closer to home for us. We know how important representation is. The fact that 81% of young people in the UK can’t name a single female entrepreneur is a wake-up call — and one we’re determined to help change.
