Where are 31st State products made?

All 31st State products are made in the United Kingdom.

Are 31st State products tested on animals?

We tested the products on teenage boys and not on animals. 

How often should I use facial skincare products?

We recommend that you use our Foaming Face Wash twice a day, morning and night. Cleansing the skin of dirt and surface oil that has accumulated during the day is key to maintaining clear fresh skin. In the morning, we suggest following this with our Spot Gel, applying to any existing blemishes or any areas where you frequently suffer from spots. Before going to bed in the evening we suggest following the Foaming Face Wash with an Overnight Clearing Pad to help boost skin cell turnover and breakdown cellular debris. Once dry, wait a minute or two before applying the Spot Gel to individual blemishes.

Do the products have a use by date?

Our products have a shelf life of 30 months or more as seen on our Open Jar symbol on each product.

Is 31st State packaging recyclable?

Yes, all the packaging can be recycled.

Are your products suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, our products are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans – we do not use any animal-derived raw materials within our products.

Are 31st State products alcohol free?

Our products are not all alcohol free. There are thousands of different alcohols which occur in nature including a group known as ‘Fatty Alcohols’ which are waxy substances that act as emulsifiers, enabling water and oils to be mixed together to form stable emulsions. Despite the common misconception, these Fatty Alcohols are actually beneficial to the skin, helping to soothe and protect it against environmental irritants.
